January Creative Colour

As some of you may already know I have been setting up a new website.

Its still in the early stages but I am endeavouring to keep everything under the one roof eventually, as such I won't be posting to this blog anymore but have set up a new blog and forum at my new website www.gallimaufryuk.co.uk I will however still sell from www.scrapdish.com although I do plan to also sell direct from my own site too in the future!

My business has developed and I also do corporate design now so should any of you require logo's, packaging, flyers, ads, animations etc then look no further!

Thank you all for being such loyal followers over the years and I look forward to seeing you guys over at the new site!

how frustrating! I have so little time thatI can sit at the computer due to my back operation (yawn) that I am getting increasingly frustrated with:

a) how slow my computer is,

b) my PSE playing silly beggars and not letting me save jpgs atm...nrgh!

c) the fact that Blogger have inconveniently changed the way you code your own background image!!

as a result of which I have had to settle for one of their preset bg's just for the time being because I can't sit here any longer faffing about with it...ARGGHHH!

anyhoo just another (yes I knw probably all getting a bit tedious but ya can't blame a girl for trying!) advert for little SALE!

Thanks to everyone who emailed wishing me well and all who have bought from my store during my time MIA so far...

So my operation was nearly two whole weeks away! not something I'd like to go through again I can assure you! I had an adverse reaction to either the morphine or the general anaesthetic and spent the majoirty of the first night throwing up...hmm niiice! NOT! then until 3pm the following day I couldn't pee...something to do with msgs not getting thru! again niiice...NOT!

but here I am and although I have to spend the majoirty of every day lying flat I am quite mobile just mustn't bend or lift anything for a long while yet. The stitches are out and all is healing well...but itchy as hell!

I had so much fun making this kit, infact I've even been scrapping with it myself!

It has 53 Elements including frames, handdrawn doodles, real life leaves and flowers, brads, ribbons etc. It also has 23 textured papers some are very dark and grungey and others very pale and pastel. The majority are not patterned but highly textured.

The inspiration for this kit came from some real moment catching photo's of my kids, ones I will treasure as they get older and I wanted a kit which would set them off and not be too patterned or cluttered.

I had so many lovely comments about my new blog background that I couldn't resist making a whole kit, some of you may recognise certain elements from a previous kit of mine from my days selling at Divine Digital called Summer Sizzle, but they have been re-worked for this kit, I then also thought that my Wacky Words kit also previously on sale at Divine, would go very well with this kit so I have re-packaged those for you too!

Easy Paper Maker Kits Instructions

It has been brought to my attention that some of you who may have bought my Easy Paper Maker Kits may not know how to use them. Or some people might be put off buying them due to lack of experience or knowledge.

I'm afraid I kinda assumed that anyone using them has prior experience of using overlays, templates etc.

I use PSE so I can only really advise on that I'm afraid. In PS based programmes I open the design file, then add a layer, flood this new layer with the colour you wish to make the paper, then in your layers section of PSE you click on the blending modes (Normal, colour burn, overlay etc), I tend to scroll thru them until I find one I like the look of, you can then play with opacity of that layer, you can also then drag any textured layers or other patterned layers you may wish to add on top and follow the same proceedure again and again until you get the desired effect, you may also use brushes to add grungey effects etc to the edges of your paper or whatever you wish to do to it.

Really the possibilities are endless. Of course you can simply infill the actual paper itself by flooding the pattern itself and/or its background with diff colours, or use the colour replacement tool to brush over the whole thing with a new colour.

I hope this helps, if not feel free to ask, if anyone uses PSP or some other programme and can email me instructions I can post on how to use them in that I'd be very greatful indeed. gallimaufryuk@yahoo.co.uk

I have left Divine Digital.

My store has been disabled and you cannot buy my products there any more. However anyone trying to download existing purchases will still be able to do so.

I will be selling at www.scrapdish.com very soon but please bear with me as I need to re-package all my products before I can get them re-instated in the new store for you.

I will endeavour to get a new release out by the end of January at the latest just in time for Valentine's!
